This time I wanted to take a new approach to the "fantasy ambient" genre, and make something that resembles more of a film-score with lots of orchestral elements, but in essence keeping what Windtower always was about: telling a story through music.

I was thinking a lot whether or not I should release this album as a separate project from Windtower. It differs a lot from the previous two albums, and takes an entirely new direction, yet it takes place in the same world, and stems from the same legends/mythology as Windtower.

So in the end, I decided to release this album as a "side quest" or "spin-off" adventure to Windtower. This is the first chapter of Glacern, which I named "Jäätähti".
